Fred Lind Manor is a Leader Among Seattle Retirement Communities

How do we set ourselves apart from other Seattle Retirement Communities? There are several important factors to consider. Before we get to the things that set us apart, let?s look at some of the things that you should expect from any assisted living facility.

There is a temptation to lump Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes together. Nursing Home Clients are generally completely dependent upon the medical and facility staff for their day to day needs. The residents at an Assisted Living Facility can do for themselves to a greater extent, but will appreciate a little extra help now and then. This will usually include medication management, some housekeeping, and meal preparation. The most valuable service any assisted living facility can give is simply to have competent staff on hand to check in on the residents in their care.

Seattle Retirement Communities

?

By the time residents have reached retirement age they have earned the right to have the most enjoyable retired life they can. We like to think that we lead the way amongst Seattle retirement communities in providing a rich and interesting lifestyle for our residents. A big part of the reason we are able to do that is simply due to our wonderful location here near the top of Seattle?s Capitol Hill. We are in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood, surrounded by family homes and peaceful, walkable streets. However we are far from being isolated, we are conveniently close to downtown and some of Seattle?s most popular attractions.

Our proximity to attractions is popular with families, who come from out of town to visit our residents, but mostly they are impressed with how lively and busy our residents are. We make sure that there is always plenty for our residents to do, from our popular morning workouts to group excursions to shopping areas, Skagit Valley, local freshwater fishing holes, museums and the Space Needle. Don?t get the impression that our residents are always looking for a reason to get out of the house- there is always plenty going on here at the facility. Several of our residents like to get their hands dirty in our raised bed garden (designed so that gardening can even be done from the comfort of a wheelchair), there is a thriving arts and crafts community here, and more than a few grandkids have been put to shame by our active group of Wii bowlers!

Once retirement age has been reached, it can seem as though there is nothing more important than simply being comfortable. Our residents have that as well. We feature apartments with three very attractive floor plans. Each floor plan is laid out with ease of movement and efficiency in mind, and the apartments are a very comfortable place to relax or to receive visitors.

If you would like to learn more about what sets us apart from other Seattle retirement communities, we hope that you will contact us to arrange a tour of our facility and stick around to enjoy a complimentary lunch with our residents.
